My Dear Parishioners,

I am pleased to announce to you all that our parish will initiate a formal ministry that would attend to the pastoral needs and growth in faith for our Youth. It is our hope that it will have its kick-off within the year 2023.

In the development process of this ministry, the Parish Pastoral Council has determined that we begin with a listening session with our youth and parents of young families. The objective of the listening session is to hear firsthand from them how we should envision and look at the practical needs that should be present in the ministry.

I am inviting our youth, and parents of young families in our parish to please attend and participate in the listening session. If your family have children from 5th grade to Senior Highschool, I ask to please join us in the listening session. It will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm in English and on January 29, 2023 from 2:10pm to 3:10 pm in Spanish. Venue will be at the Sullivan Center.

In order to help you prepare for this day I ask that you pray and reflect on the following questions that shall be used for the listening session:

  1. What do you feel a youth ministry needs to meet today’s challenges?
  2. What social or immersion activities would attract you to participate in our youth ministry?
  3. How comfortable are you to give an explanation to anyone who asks you about your faith?
  4. What will make you excited to go to church? What makes you not excited to go to church?
  5. What skills or talents do you have, or would like to develop, that would make the youth ministry more meaningful to you?
  6. Additional comments that you think will make our youth ministry successful.

We are looking forward to hearing your ideas, suggestions, and, opinions to help design and develop this ministry. Together we will be able make this ministry possible and alive in our parish.

Respectfully yours,

Fr. Angelo David
Pastor
